A Blogging Experiment With My IPad

A Blogging Experiment With My IPad

Here is an article I have just read on my IPad using an app called Zite. I decided to see just how easy it would be to post an extract from the article to my blog using my IPad as opposed to using my main computer.

Well it's not quite as straight forward as on a computer but as this post shows it can be done.

The article is on the future use of the IPad in education. If I am sat using it in my lounge at night then I am afraid this author may not get his way.

iPads And Digital Textbooks Do Not Belong In Classrooms Yet

I do not want my children learning math proofs on iPads. I simply do not see the value in it. iPads will not help with identifying sentence clauses or writing an essay. There’s a place for interactive
learning and there’s not. It’s a clear line. Give science and history teachers iPads loaded with demos, videos and soundbites. Allow children to pinch and zoom DNA strands and the inner workings of WWI trenches. But make my kids do math drills on paper with a dull pencil. Please.

Simply put, the movement to digitalized learning scares me. iBooks 2 is just the start. Digital interactive learning has always been the future but I fear for my children now that it’s here.

So there you have it from IPad to Blog right after reading the original article!

Self Hosting Videos – Learning Something New

Self Hosting Videos – Learning Something New

Self Hosting Videos on my own website as opposed to YouTube has been a desire of mine for sometime. I did not possess the knowledge or skills to be able to achieve this. However I am now on module 7 of the Spartan 300 training course by Brian G Johnson and I have just learnt how he recommends to do this.

Therefore in the spirit of sharing for free I shall briefly outline how I intend to achieve this. I have first used a software product called screencast o matic to record an mp4 video clip. Screencast o matic is proving to be really interesting to use. There is a free version and a paid version. As I intend to use it a lot I signed up to the pro paid version which enables you to edit the videos and does not display adverts. Take a look at their product here. Adding Content For Your Website – More On Adding Video

Finding new fresh and unique content for your website can be time consuming and a chore. Many people make the mistake of copying other content as a short cut. This can lead to infringement of copyright and will usually be ignored by the search engines. Creating your own video content however is now becoming a lot easier. I have just purchased an Ipad2 and in my last post  Creating Content For Your Website – Adding Video I showed how I used the Ipad to turn 10 still pictures into a short video clip by using the Ipad App Videolicious.

I therefore thought I would extend the idea and try to demonstrate the content of this website on Youtube by creating another Ipad video clip on Videolicious. The below video is now uploaded onto my Youtube channel steve freeman online and with the link from Youtube back to this website I hope the clip will attract more people to visit my site. Creating Content For Your Website – Adding Video

To celebrate the end of my first financial year as an Internet Marketer I decided that having paid the accountant, set aside the money for the Inland Revenue, paid the National Insurance and all the other charges that no one mentions when you set up as self employed that it was time to spend some money on me. Well that's my excuse for buying an Ipad2. I decided it was time for me to start my next phase of learning with this new technology. [Read more...]

Buying Content For Your Website

Content is King you will hear continually around the web. Getting good quality unique content that is well written is one of the hardest aspects of Internet Marketing to get right. Until recently I have always created my own content, that way I have known it will be unique and hopefully of good quality. However as my list of affiliate websites is growing writing content can be time consuming.

I have therefore made my first steps into buying articles from professional writers. To do this I have chosen the Textbroker Website.

This choice was made following recommendations from other Internet Marketers. The website is simple to use. You will however need to create an account and deposit funds of $25 before you start. There are 5 levels or standards of quality of writing each priced seperately. I choose levels 4 or 5 described as: [Read more...]
