How I create a Niche Website for a retirement income is quite straight forward. However the purpose of this series of blog posts is to encourage as many people as possible to take the plunge and have a go yourself. Now aimed at the retired or semi retired age group the following method is applicable to anyone of any age to have a go.
The biggest tip I can give is do not be afraid but have a go. Yes you will make mistakes but this is the best way to learn. Do not doubt your ability. If you are retired or semi retired you have a lifetime of work experience and skills to draw on. You were no doubt very good at your old career and these skills and abilities will assist you in learning a new one.
So where to start. I recommend the simple way to start is create one website with google adsense as the means of generating income. My reason for this is simple. Once you have learnt how to create a wordpress website you will be able to create many more using the same skills and knowledge. google adsense is by far the easiest and quickest way to see an income generated by your website.
This simple formula will quickly tell you if your website will be able to generate income in the future and thereby whether you are able to look for other products to sell from this site.
Now to be able to create a wordpress website you have two options. the first is free. Visit Blooger.com where you can create a wordpress blog for free. I however do not recommend this option myself. My reason is simple, whilst free you do not own the website it is controlled by Blogger.com. This means all you hard work could be removed by them if you breech any of their terms and conditions. I am old fashioned and prefer to "own" my own sites. This does however cost money.
The costs to own your own websites are however small. I firmly believe you need to "write small cheques to earn large cheques".
